News from Representative Newberger 01-07-2014

Tuesday, January 7, 2014
Dear Friends,

I look forward to serving you in this new year. Currently, I have signed on to bills that would repeal many of the repressive taxes that were put upon the backs of hard working Minnesotans, like yourselves.

Let's hope that our friends on the otherside of the aisle will be willing to join with us as we try to stop the burden of over-taxation and the continuous growth of our state government.

Ronald Reagan's words ring so true when he said, "When government gets bigger then the people get smaller".

Some important issues may be working their way through the legislature this year, such as, medical marijuana, Sunday liquor sales, minimum wage and gun control.

Other issues have yet to be resolved, such as school bullying and the debacle we call MNSure.

I will be working hard to represent you and the common-sense values we hold in Central Minnesota.

I will also keep fighting to save the thousands of jobs that would be lost if the Sherco power plant is forced to start the closing process in 2020, instead of 2040!

Feel free to contact my office if you have any questions.

God's peace,

Jim
