Hausman receives 2012 Sierra Club Legislative Leadership Award

The Sierra Club North Star Chapter has presented State Representative Alice Hausman with its 2012 Legislative Leadership Award. The award recognizes outstanding work by elected officials who demonstrate a high level of commitment and effectiveness in support of Minnesota’s environment. Representative Hausman was one of three legislators selected for recognition this year.

Representative Hausman was selected because she is staunch opponent of sulfide mining. She also has been a longtime champion of efforts to restore wetlands, improve transit options, invest in parks and trails, and protect clean water.
