ST. PAUL—State Representative Dan Fabian, R-Roseau, extends special thanks to Roger Hille and Ashley Peterson, both of Warren, for their organization of the 14-day, 311-mile Trails4Transplants horseback ride across northern Minnesota to central North Dakota. Fabian joined the first day of the ride in Warren on May 31 to help raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

“The effort and commitment made by Roger and Ashley to organize this ride and change the lives of folks in need is truly inspiring,” Fabian said. “I was happy to take part in such a worthy cause, and I thank Roger and Ashley for their hard work.”

Trails4Transplants teams with the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, MN (www.gift-of-life.org), which offers housing at a reduced cost for organ/tissue recipients and their families while they await a life-saving transplant.

According to Trails4Transplants, there are currently more than 117,000 men, women and children awaiting organ transplants in the United States.
