Legislative Update (April 5, 2013)

Friday, April 5, 2013

Dear neighbor,

The legislature gaveled back into session on Tuesday after a week on legislative break. I enjoyed spending time in the district holding town halls to field questions, comments, and concerns from constituents about what’s going on in St. Paul.

For more on my take on what’s happening at the legislature, click here to watch my video update.

It was fun to have the fourth and fifth graders from Mahnomen Elementary & St. Michael visit the Capitol this week. Seeing how the legislature operates up close is a great exercise for kids to learn about how government works.  I also visited with some teachers from Frazee and Detroit Lakes recently. I value education in our state and appreciate hearing from constituents who are directly involved in our schools.

If you have not received a legislative survey from me, you can fill one out by going to my House web page, click the link under “Feedback Wanted” on the right side of the page.

As always, I can be reached via email at rep.steve.green@house.mn. To contact me by phone, call (651) 296-9918. Mail can be sent to Rep. Steve Green, 231 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, Minnesota 55155.

Have a great weekend!
