UGLEM BRINGS EXPERIENCE TO FIRST TERM IN ST. PAUL

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

SAINT PAUL, MN – Freshman Representative Mark Uglem (R-Champlin) was sworn in for his first term Tuesday as a part of a swearing-in ceremony at the State Capitol in Saint Paul. Uglem represents District 36A, which includes Champlin and west central Coon Rapids.

Uglem says his experience during three terms as mayor of Champlin have helped to prepare him for his work at the legislature. “I’m excited to get to work in Saint Paul and to work with my colleagues at the legislature to bring positive solutions that will strengthen our state,” Uglem said. “I want to bring the best ideas and principles from my time as mayor of Champlin, and apply them here at the Capitol.”

Uglem’s committee assignments include the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee, the Labor, Workforce and Regulated Industries Committee, the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, and the Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee. “One of my top priorities is to help foster a climate that will spur job creation in Minnesota,” Uglem said.

Uglem’s office will be in the State Office Building, across the street from the State Capitol, in Room 331. “I encourage constituents to come visit my office any time they are in Saint Paul,” Uglem said. “I hope constituents will contact me at any time with feedback and concerns they have about legislation at the Capitol.” Uglem can be reached by phone at 651-296-5513, or by email at Rep.Mark.Uglem@house.mn.  Mail can be sent to Rep.
