PETERSBURG BEGINS FIRST TERM AS STATE LEGISLATOR

SAINT PAUL, MN – Freshman Representative John Petersburg (R-Waseca) was sworn in Tuesday at a swearing-in ceremony at the State Capitol in Saint Paul, officially kicking off the 2013 legislative session.  Petersburg represents District 24A, which includes the cities of Owatonna and Waseca.

“I’m humbled by the opportunity to serve my friends, neighbors, and constituents in the state legislature,” Petersburg said. “I am ready to get to work in Saint Paul, and work together with my new colleagues to help improve our great state.”   

Petersburg will serve on the Agriculture Policy Committee, the Transportation Finance Committee, and the Transportation Policy Committee.

Petersburg’s office will be in Room 243 of the State Office Building, across from the State Capitol in Saint Paul.
