DEAN SWORN IN FOR FIFTH TERM

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

SAINT PAUL, MN – Representative Matt Dean (R-Dellwood) was sworn in for his fifth term on Tuesday, taking the oath of office at a ceremony at the State Capitol in Saint Paul. Following redistricting, Dean will now represent District 38B, which includes White Bear Lake, White Bear Township, Dellwood, North Oaks, and Hugo.

“It is such an honor to return to the Capitol and continue to represent my community,” Dean said. “Now the important work begins, and I look forward to working with members of the new majority to come together to solve the challenges of our great state.”

Dean will serve as the GOP Lead for the Capitol Investment Committee. His other committee assignments include the Ways and Means Committee, the Rules and Legislative Administration Committee, and the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. Dean says he hopes to continue to work toward Health and Human Service reforms. “Health care remains one of the greatest assets of our state. Health care is a critically important issue not only in terms of the state budget, but for families across the state of Minnesota. We must continue to work to get health care costs under control for families while continuing our heritage of excellence in providing miracles of discovery and patient care.”
