Happy New Year! I hope your New Year is off to a great start! The 2013 legislative session convened this week with a focus on the budget and school funding. Along with 133 of my colleagues, I was sworn into the Minnesota House of Representatives. I will be serving in my second term in the House and look forward to representing the people of District 13B, which includes the communities of Sartell, Holdingford, St. Stephen, Le Sauk Township, St. Wendel Township, Avon Township, Brookway Township, and Holding Township.
I have been appointed to serve on the following committees: Government Operations, Elections, State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs. I am also the lead Republican on the Labor, Workplace and Regulated Industries Committee. I have also been appointed by the Minority Leader to serve in the leadership position of Assistant Whip to the GOP caucus. Additionally, I’ve been appointed to serve on the Legislative Permanent School Fund Commission and the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement.
