TONY ALBRIGHT OFFICIALLY SWORN IN AS STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Friday, January 11, 2013

St. Paul – Minnesota’s 2013 Legislative Session officially began January 8 with Tony Albright (R-Prior Lake) and 133 other state representatives being sworn into office during a ceremony at the State Capitol.

“It is an honor to be elected by the people of District 55B,” Albright said. “We have a lot of work ahead of us in the Legislature to balance Minnesota’s budget while encouraging innovation and job creation.”

Most of Rep. Albright’s work during the first months of session will take place in House Committees. Albright said he was very pleased with his recent committee assignments, as he will serve on the Capital Investment, Health and Human Services Reform, Jobs and Economic Development and Rules committees.

“There are many areas where we can improve the way government works to balance the budget without raising taxes on hard-working families,” Albright said. “I will focus on making government more responsible and advocate spending within our means.”

Albright has moved into his new legislative office, which is Room 223 of the State Office Building adjacent to the Capitol. All state representatives are housed in this building.

“I hope my constituents will feel free to stop by my new office if they are visiting the area,” Albright said. “I also encourage anyone to contact me if they have questions or concerns.”

Albright can be reached by phone at (651) 296-5185. He can also be contacted via e-mail at rep.tony.albright@house.mn, or via U.S. Mail at 223 State Office Building, St. Paul, MN 55155.
