News from Representative Nornes - Memorial Day

As many folks will be going to the lake, or venturing out on weekend vacations this Memorial Day, may we remember to pause for a moment and remember the sacrifice so many have paid for our freedom. It is important for us to remember that many brave men and women paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Someone at the Legislature shared this website with me, and I wanted to pass this on to you, as it may prove helpful to you. This website contains the names of Vietnam War Veterans. It allows you to click on the state where the soldier lived and find their name and rank and any medals they may have received. This is a very unique website and I hope that it is helpful to you.

I would encourage you to attend a local program in honor of Memorial Day. This is a special time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. I also want to thank those who are currently serving in our military, they and their families make so many sacrifices each day, and I am grateful to those who serve our country so bravely.
