Oak Park Heights to receive $1.4 million in capital funding
Rep. Kathy Lohmer championed a provision to help cover the costs incurred by the St. Croix River Crossing project
ST. PAUL – Governor Mark Dayton today signed a capital investment bill containing a provision by Representative Kathy Lohmer (R-Lake Elmo) that secures $1.4 million in capital funding for the City of Oak Park Heights. The assistance will help alleviate the costs associated with the St. Croix River Crossing project.
“I am proud to have secured this funding for Oak Park Heights. Their small city can be assured that they will not be responsible for the disproportional financing of this very large project,” said Rep. Lohmer.
Lohmer added: “On several occasions I have stood with a broad, bipartisan coalition in support of the St. Croix River Crossing replacement project. Many elected leaders, from the local to the national level in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, have advocated for a new bridge over the years. It is encouraging to see it come to fruition; it is a project that will enhance travelers’ safety and bring jobs to the area.”
