WACONIA, MN—Rep. Jim Nash, R-Waconia, issued the following statement congratulating the 2018 Farm Family of the Year for Carver County, Jeff and Tina Vinkemeier’s Seven C Dairy.
“I want to congratulate Jeff and Tina Vinkemeier on being named a Farm Family of the Year for Carver County, and for maintaining an important area farm that dates back to 1859,” said Nash. “This award is a testament to the Vinkemeiers and their lasting impact on the agriculture industry in our community.”
The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2018 Farm Family Recognition Program is set for today, August 9 at Farmfest.
