Legislative Update from Rep. Anna Wills

Friday, July 13, 2018

Friends,

This week I had a chance to stop by the retirement party for District 196 Rosemount High School Principal John Wollersheim to wish him well in his next season of life. Thank you, John, for all you've done for the school district and our community!

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon

This week I visited the Rosemount Beyond the Yellow Ribbon meeting to give an update on the veterans' related legislation we passed over the past two years. We owe the brave men and women who fight for our freedom so much and I am proud to be a champion for them in St. Paul!

And please save the date for the Rosemount Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Fundraiser at Rudy's Redeye Grill in Rosemount on Monday, August 6th, 3-10PM to support their efforts to raise funds to help local veterans and their families.

Rosemount Research and Outreach Center Tour at UMore Park

On Wednesday I had the opportunity to go on a tour of the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center at UMore Park in Rosemount. I always enjoy learning about the fascinating research being done there to improve farming methods to save farmers both time and money - while protecting our environment.

Night to Unite

On Tuesday, August 7th, is this year's Night to Unite. Each Night to Unite, communities across Minnesota get together with their neighbors and enjoy special events such as block parties, cookouts, visits from Police, Fire, and local officials, contests, and youth activities. If you would like to organize a Night to Unite block party in your neighborhood, you can visit here for Rosemount and here for Apple Valley.

I will be joining other community leaders in making it to many of these great events throughout our community.
