MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Barr's Credit Freeze Bill Heard in Committee
 
What: Bill to protect Minnesota Consumers to be heard in Commerce Committee

Members of the press are welcome and encouraged to attend. Rep. Barr's bill, HF 3480, to protect Minnesota consumers will be heard today. The bill will stop credit agencies from being able to charge for a credit freeze on an account that has been the victim of a data breach. It will also prevent credit reporting agencies from limiting the ability for a victim of a data breach to seek fair compensation for financial harm. See more information here.
