Listening Sessions

Thank you again to everyone who came to my listening sessions in Maple Grove, Dayton and Rogers over the past few weeks! Your input is invaluable, and I appreciate all of the discussion on community priorities for the upcoming 2018 legislative session.

If you weren’t able to make a listening session, or if you find yourself with ideas or concerns about issues moving through the Legislature at any time this session, please don’t hesitate to call, email or set up an appointment with my office.

It is an honor and privilege to work for you in St. Paul!

Growing Jobs in the Northwest Suburbs

It was recently announced that Caisson Interventional plans to expand its Maple Grove facilities and create 50 new jobs. In support of the project, they received a $359,850 grant from the Job Creation Fund administered by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Caisson Interventional is a medical device company which has developed a heart valve replacement system.

It’s great to see businesses expanding, hiring and creating more good-paying jobs in the northwest suburbs!

Peppin’s MinnTriv

Thank you to everyone who participated in the last Peppin’s MinnTriv Question. Here is last week’s question:  This 1979 disco-hit was written by a Minneapolis-based group about their dream to head to New York City. The answer is Funkytown by Lipps Inc.

Congratulations to Mark Van Oosbree from Maple Grove for being last week’s winner!

Here is this week’s question:

The University of Minnesota developed this type of apple which also became Minnesota’s official state fruit in 2006.

The SECOND correct response will be featured in the next email update.
