That was a rough way for the Vikings season to end but, as always, there's always next year. Thank you to everyone who came out to my January Town Hall during the snow storm on Monday! It was another great event and I am looking forward to the next one -- more on that below.
Osseo City Council Meeting
On Monday, I spoke at the Osseo Council Meeting to give an update on the state of MNLARS and the implementation of REAL ID, and give a preview of the 2018 session. It was a great meeting and I always love to hear from local officials.

Housing for All Legislative Breakfast
Next Tuesday, January 30th, I will be attending the Housing for All - Breakfast with Legislators at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Public Officials, activists, and business leaders from all over the west metro will be in attendance to hear about the issue of homelessness and affordable housing in our community. My daughter Lillian was baptized at St. Joseph and I always have enjoyed my time there.
Special February Joint Town Hall
This month's town hall will be a special joint event with Majority Leader Joyce Peppin, Senator Warren Limmer, and myself. It will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at 9:00 AM at the Maple Grove Community Center, Room 133. All residents are welcome to come share their thoughts, concerns, and ideas for the upcoming session.

Maple Grove Super Bowl Activities
Maple Grove Parks and Recreation is getting in on the Super Bowl fun. On Thursday, February 1st, the Youth Football Combine. Registration is free and open to youth, K-8th Grade. Visit the Facebook Event to learn more about registering your young ones.
On Saturday, February 3rd, Wonders of Winter will take place at Central Park from 11am-3p. Enjoy snowshoeing, sledding, wagon rides, s'mores and more for the whole family.
Maple Grove Polar Plunge
Next Saturday, February 3rd, is the Maple Grove Polar Plunge. It will take place at Fish Lake Regional Park with check-in beginning at 11:00 AM and plunges at 1:00 PM. I hope to be there in support of a great cause. For more information, click here.
