Updated meeting time for tomorrow's March for Life event

Friday, January 19, 2018

Dear Neighbor,

I just want to pass along a quick note letting folks know the March for Life meeting time will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at the courthouse in Park Rapids. Below are more details on the event from an email I sent yesterday.

Sincerely,

Steve

Neighbors,

Protecting the unborn is a big deal to me and I look forward to attending this Saturday’s March for Life event in Park Rapids.

This is one of many rallies throughout the nation which take place this time of year to support the sanctity of life. We will meet at the Hubbard County Courthouse parking lot at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch and rally with speakers at St. Peter’s Parish Center.

I hope you are able to attend this local event to support this important cause. It even looks like the weather is going to cooperate with a weekend warm-up.

On another note, I was at the recent 2018 DNR Roundtable event down in the Cities. One of the main subjects at this year’s forum was an issue I have worked very close to during my time in the Legislature: How much state ownership of lands and waters is enough?

While it may be tough to answer that question with specific numbers, there are plenty of reasons suggesting we already have reached – or likely have exceeded – what is justifiable. I addressed one angle to this issue in a recent letter to the editor and will stay on it during the upcoming legislative session with bills I am authoring to improve the situation.
