I’d like to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving full of happy memories. My family and I have so much to be grateful for this year and look forward to spending Thanksgiving together. I hope you are able to find time to celebrate with your loved ones as well.
Lawsuit Update
Last week, the Minnesota Supreme Court declined to rule on the constitutional merits of Governor Dayton's veto of the legislature's funding. The Court stated they declined to rule due to the Legislature being able to continue operating until the 2018 Legislative Session reconvenes in February. This was a disappointing result as we represent YOUR voice at the Capitol and believe the Court should have given a clear signal that this type of action by the current executive, or any future one from any party, is unacceptable.
The good news is that due to wise fiscal management with available funds, the Legislature will continue to be able to serve our constituents. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to better serve you!
