Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Veterans Day

I'd wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and all of the veterans in our community a Happy Veterans Day.

During this holiday weekend, I hope you will join me in giving thanks to our veterans and active military who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms both and home and around the world. Veterans Day provides a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to our brave servicemen and women and thank them for their service.

Many of us know someone serving our nation, and the selfless commitment they have made on behalf of their country and the American people. So to all of the Minnesotans who are serving or have served our nation, thank you. I wish all of you a Happy Veterans Day.

Peppin’s MinnTriv

Thank you to everyone who participated in the last Peppin’s MinnTriv Question. The question was:  What is the Minnesota State Flower? The answer is the Pink and White Lady’s Slipper.

Congratulations to Susan Johnson from Rogers who is last week’s winner.

Here is this week’s question: This well-known baseball player has the first recorded hit in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome during an exhibition game.

The SECOND respondent with the correct answer will be featured in the next e-mail update!
