RELEASE: REP. HALEY TO HOST A WORKFORCE WORKSHOP

ST. PAUL, MN – On November 14th at Minnesota State College Southeast (308 Pioneer Rd. Red Wing) Rep. Barb Haley (R-Red Wing) will be hosting a workforce workshop, “Connecting Youth, Education & Industry”. Registration and coffee begins at 8:00 AM and the workshop will take place from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

“Come learn more about the new Youth Skills Training Program and other state grant programs that help manufacturers build their job pipeline and provide high schoolers with needed skills training and work experience,” said Haley. “I am eager to discuss workforce needs and how to address the skills gap.”

This session will include a panel discussion on what's working, where challenges exist, and how state agencies can support efforts of local businesses to ensure they have a pipeline of skilled workers.
