It's been a fantastic run for our own Taylor Sieve who made it to the final four on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance competition. She will compete in the finale this Monday. We're so proud of Taylor for making it this far and we'll be tuning in to cheer her on this Monday. Good luck!
Fall Sports
Our high school athletes are now deep in their fall sports season. Both the Maple Grove & Osseo football teams are off to 2-1 starts and the Maple Grove Volleyball team is off to a fantastic 9-0 start! The Crimson girl's soccer team is also off to a great start, ranked second in the state! For a full round-up of the other teams can be viewed here.
It's a great time of year and the weather has cooperated. I hope to get out and take in a few games to cheer on our boys and girls! Go Crimson and Orioles!
Mediation Began this Week
Earlier this month the Minnesota Supreme Court issued an order regarding the line-item veto to the legislatures funding that Governor Dayton issued at the end of the special session. Rather than issue a decision the court ordered the Legislature and Governor into mediation. The first mediation took place this Thursday and more sessions are scheduled through the end of this month. I will keep you updated as more information is announced.
High School Page Program
The Minnesota House of Representatives High School Page Program is now accepting applications. Over the last 40 years the program has provided high school juniors with hands-on access to our state government in action. I encourage any high school junior who may be interested in learning more about the legislative process to apply for the page program by December 1st. Click here to apply!
