The 2017 Slice of Shoreview Days begins Friday and will run until Sunday. I will be walking in the parade on Saturday, so I hope to see you there! Click here for event details.
Last Thursday, I toured Park Plaza Cooperative in Fridley. Park Plaza successfully converted itself from a mobile home park into a resident-owned manufactured home community. The conversion allows the residents, as a cooperative, to own their plot of land, instead of renting it from a property owner. The cooperative ownership model is advantageous for residents when a property owner is ready to sell. There are a number of manufactured home parks in our community as well as others across the state for which similar ownership transitions could be beneficial.
