I hope you've been having a fun summer so far. It's been nice to spend some time with family and meeting with constituents around Burnsville and Savage. I'm looking forward to some fun Independence Day festivities.
As a reminder, starting this Sunday, July 2nd Minnesotans will have to opportunity to purchase alcohol at participating stores across the state. Store owners will now have the freedom to be open any day of the week and consumers will be able to purchase any day. Also, July 1st marks the effective date of a number of laws passed this session including our historic investment into roads and bridges as well as education.
I wanted to pass along my best wishes for a safe and happy Independence Day, and hope you're able to spend some time with family celebrating with cookouts, fireworks, and more at community events planned across the state.
