Greetings from the Capitol,
I was visited this week by a 6th grade class from Liberty Classical Academy. The students at this school study Latin and were able to successfully translate the Latin phrases scattered throughout the House chamber.
This week, my cousin, Carter Northey participated in the High School Page Program.
The High School Page Program was established in 1975 in order to provide high school students with a meaningful opportunity to watch the legislative process close-up and see the inner workings of state government.
If you know of someone who would be interested in participating in this program next session, direct him or her to read more about it and sign up here. Feel free to email me with questions as well.
Community Recognition:
Best wishes to Bethel University’s own: Mikayla Holmgren on preparing to compete in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant! Read more here.
