Legislative Update

Thursday, April 20, 2017

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The House and Senate began meeting in conference committees this week to negotiate budget bills and work toward a final compromise that will fund state government and its essential functions over the next two years. It is the intent of the House to work through our differences in an open and transparent process with both the Senate and Governor Dayton to find solutions that work for Minnesotans.

Additionally, I have been named as a conferee on the State Government Finance conference committee and will be working to help craft a final budget bill that limits government growth, increases government transparency and accountability, and stands up for the hardworking taxpayers of our state.

I will keep you updated as budget negotiations move forward.

Woodbury Chamber’s Business After Hours

I had a great time attending the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event last week. Woodbury is home to a strong small business community, and it was a fun evening!
