SAINT PAUL, MN – Representative Drew Christensen, R-Savage, was appointed on Tuesday to the conference committee for Senate File 2214, the Higher Education Omnibus Bill. House and Senate conferees will work in the coming days to resolve differences between the House and Senate versions of the Higher Education Bill. House leaders have repeatedly stated their desire to work with Governor Dayton’s administration during conference committees to ensure an open and transparent process.
"I am excited to have been selected to serve on the Higher Education Bill Conference Committee," said Rep. Christensen. "This is an opportunity for me to help make sure the final bill emphasizes affordability, accountability, and accessibility for all Minnesota students.”
Once the conference committee report is passed, the report will head to the House and Senate to be voted on. If passed by both bodies, it will be sent to the Governor for his signature to become law.
