Rep. Jon Koznick Chairs Tax Committee For First Time
Below are two photos of Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville, chairing the House Taxes Committee on Thursday, February 9.
This is Koznick's second term on the prestigious and influential Taxes Committee. Last session, Koznick served as the only freshman on the committee from 2015-2016. It is rare a freshman is appointed to the Taxes Committee. The chair and vice-chair of the committee were in other meetings and Koznick was selected to chair the committee for the day.
"I was honored to be asked to run the committee and appreciated the confidence of my colleagues. Tax committee is always more interesting than you expect. This hearing wasn't supposed to be contentious, but I enjoyed running the discussion. We strive for good governance, all the time," stated Koznick.
