ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, has been re-appointed by House Speaker Kurt Daudt, R-Crown, to the Iron Range Resources Rehabilitation Board, which consists of Iron Range legislators from the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate responsible for overseeing this important state agency.
The IRRRB’s mission is to promote and invest in business, community and workforce development for northeastern Minnesota. Its service area encompasses 13,000 square miles, including 49 cities, 129 townships, and 15 school districts.
“I am pleased with the work we did during my first term on the IRRRB and look forward to continuing efforts to encourage economic development in our region going forward,” Lueck said. “There are always difficult decisions to make as we weigh what items are a priority for our local communities. With most of the taconite plants back on line, agency revenue will remain stable and allow continued strong support within our communities.”
Lueck said he welcomes input from local citizens regarding ideas to make northeastern Minnesota an even better place to live, work, raise a family and get an education. He can be reached at the Capitol by calling (651) 296-2365 or by emailing rep.dale.lueck@house.mn.
