RELEASE: Rep. Lucero Begins Second Term

Tuesday, January 3, 2017

SAINT PAUL, MN—State Representative Eric Lucero, R-Dayton, was officially sworn-in Tuesday as the Legislature began the 2017 session in St. Paul. The oath of office was administered by Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie Gildea in the House Chamber. Rep. Lucero represents the cities of Albertville, Hanover, Otsego, Saint Michael, and the Wright County portion of Dayton and is beginning his second term after winning re-election in November.

"It's an honor to continue representing the values and priorities of our great communities," Lucero said. “Increased funding for roads and bridges transportation such as the 3-lane expansion of I-94 to Albertville, equity in education funding for our children, and repealing and replacing MNsure with free-market healthcare solutions to improve quality while lowering costs are among my top priorities.”

Rep. Lucero has been appointed to serve on three committees: Transportation Finance Committee; Civil Law and Data Practices Committee; and Public Safety & Security Policy and Finance Committee.

"I'm humbled to be appointed to several very important committees and I'm looking forward to the hard work for the betterment of the lives of all Minnesotans," Lucero said. "I encourage people to contact me with their thoughts and feedback."
