RELEASE: Rep. Christensen Starts Second Term at Legislature

SAINT PAUL, MN—Representative Drew Christensen, R-Savage, was officially sworn-in Tuesday as the legislature began the 2017 session in St. Paul. Legislators took the oath of office administered by Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court Lorie Gildea in the House Chamber. Christensen will continue representing District 56A which includes portions of Dakota and Scott County.

"I'm grateful to return to the legislature and continue serving the residents of Savage and Burnsville," Christensen said. "I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues on ways to fix our health care system, improve our state's economy, and focus on the priorities of Minnesotans across the state."

Christensen, who was first elected in 2014, was named Vice Chair of the Higher Education & Career Readiness Policy and Finance Committee. He will also serve on the Education Innovation Policy and the Taxes Committee.

Christensen, a University of Minnesota graduate, lives in Savage.
