STATE REPRESENTATIVE PAUL TORKELSON TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

ST. PAUL – On January 3, State Representative Paul Torkelson (R-Hanska) took the oath of office to serve as state representative for District 16B, which includes communities in Brown, Redwood, and Renville counties. 

 

“I’m humbled by the opportunity to serve the citizens of District 16B, and I am excited once again to represent their interests,” Torkelson said.

 

Torkelson recently received his Minnesota House committee assignments. Besides chairing the Minnesota House Transportation Finance Committee, he will also serve on the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance, Legacy Funding Finance, Ways and Means, and Ethics committees over the next two years.

 

“As the session moves forward, I’d like to hear from my constituents about their legislative priorities and once again thank them for the opportunity to represent their interests in the Minnesota House,” Torkelson concluded.
