Wednesday, December 21, 2016

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, has accepted appointment to five House committees for Minnesota’s 90th legislative session which will convene on Jan. 3.

Lueck is entering his second term representing House District 10B, which includes all of Aitkin County and the majority of rural Crow Wing County. He will continue as vice chairman of the Mining, Forestry and Tourism Committee and remain a member of the Agriculture Policy and the Veterans Affairs Division committees. Lueck also adds two new committee assignments this session, including seats on the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance, and the Capital Investment committees.

“I am very pleased with my committee assignments,” Lueck said. “These committees make decisions that directly impact our district and will influence our region for years to come. I look forward to continuing to represent the people in our area and welcome the opportunity to work on solving the many challenges we face here in the district.”

Lueck said he anticipates the 2017 session work schedule will be similar to last year, with the majority of each Monday through Thursday spent in St. Paul, with Fridays set aside for work back in the district. The session begins with many hours of committee hearings and then, toward end of the session, the focus shifts to predominately floor sessions where final debate and voting on bills takes place. Per the Minnesota Constitution the 2017 legislative session must be completed by May 22.

Lueck’s St. Paul office location remains the same, Room 423 in the State Office Building. His office phone number is (651) 296-2365 and his email address is rep.dale.lueck@house.mn.
