ST. PAUL – Minnesota House Speaker Kurt Daudt has reappointed State Representative Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) as chairman of the Minnesota House Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division.
“It’s an honor to be entrusted with the power of helping lower property tax rates for hardworking Minnesotans,” Drazkowski said. “We made great progress last year towards addressing the tax barriers that hold back our job providers and our farmers, but Governor Dayton needlessly got in the way. This year, we need to finish the job.”
As chair of this committee, Drazkowski will oversee statewide property tax rates and Local Government Aid distribution to cities and counties.
Drazkowski was recently elected to his sixth term in the Minnesota House. He served as chairman of the Minnesota House Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division in 2015 and 2016.
