Roseau, MINN— On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, House Republicans unveiled new committee chairs of the 2017-2018 legislative sessions. Representative Dan Fabian (R-Roseau) was named Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee. The committee holds funding and policy jurisdiction over areas including the Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
“I am honored to have been named a Chair by House Republican leadership and look forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work on environmental issues important to the state of Minnesota,” said Rep. Fabian. “Environmental policies implemented by state agencies and the legislature often have a significant impact on folks in Northwest Minnesota and communities across the state, and I want to ensure we pass commonsense policies that protect our environment while ensuring we don’t place unnecessary regulatory burdens on our farmers, citizens and small businesses.”
Fabian, who was first elected in 2010, serves District 1A in Northwest Minnesota.
