ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Pat Garofalo, R-Farmington, has been renamed chair of the powerful Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, appointed by House Speaker Kurt Daudt after Republicans expanded their majority in the Minnesota House following the 2016 election. Garofalo also served as chair of the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee during the 2015-2016 session.
"I look forward to continuing our work with Governor Dayton, and with a newly-elected GOP Senate Majority,” Garofalo said. "Together we can promote common sense policies that ensure energy is both cleaner for the environment and cheaper for families, and help grow jobs in all regions of Minnesota.”
