SAINT PAUL- The National Federation of Independent Business Minnesota has announced that State Representative Roz Peterson (R-Lakeville) was awarded the prestigious NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award.
NFIB gives out the award at both the federal and state level to recognize legislators who have been supportive of small business on critical issues. To receive the award legislators had to demonstrate a supportive voting record for small business during the 2015-16 sessions of the Minnesota legislature.
Representative Peterson's was awarded the Guardian of Small Business award for her track record of support for legislation that improved resources and lessened tax burdens for small businesses around the state.
"It's an honor to be given this award from NFIB," said Peterson. "When small business flourishes in our state, job creation increases and the long-term economic outlook for Minnesotan households improves as well. I look forward to championing additional reforms in the upcoming session that will continue to make our more state small business-friendly."
