Happy Fourth of July!
While you're out celebrating this weekend with loved ones, barbecues and fireworks, don't forget to take a moment to remember the true meaning of this holiday. Without the sacrifices of our forefathers and their Declaration of Independence from Britain, we would not have the freedoms and liberties we do today.
The Declaration of Independence states that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..."
These words hold as much meaning today as when they were written 240 years ago.
