Dear Neighbor,
Here is a quick note from Barb and me wishing you and your family a safe and happy Independence Day weekend.
A couple years ago, I wrote an email where I asked people to take the "it's the reason for the season" thinking that is associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas and apply it to Independence Day.
I'd like to hearken back to that message today by urging people to take a minute to stop and really think about the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. It is easy to get caught up in our day-to-day lives, so this is a good time to think about how good we really have it.
A steep price has been paid in achieving and protecting the liberties we celebrate on the Fourth of July. Our nation is the greatest our world has ever known and I look forward to celebrating our independence with friends and family.
Please be careful if you are out on the roads this holiday and best of luck enjoying all that District 9A has to offer this time of year. The season that starts with a "W" will be here soon enough, so soak up the precious sun while you can.
