ST. PAUL, MN – On Friday, legislative leaders announced an agreement on a bill that provides $275 million in tax relief, with an additional $550 million of relief in subsequent budget cycles. Included in the bill are a number of provisions that will provide tax relief for small business owners, recent college graduates, military veterans, and middle-class families across Minnesota.
"Throughout my first two legislative sessions, I’ve heard from our district that we need to provide middle-class relief,” said Drew Christensen, R-Burnsville. “With a $900 million surplus, I’m happy to see the House and Senate come to an agreement to give tax relief to working families, small business owners, and military veterans.”
Each chamber must approve the agreement before the legislative session adjourns on Monday, May 23.
