ST. PAUL, MN – On Wednesday, the House Republican Caucus unveiled their $800 million bonding proposal. The bill includes $227 million for local road and bridge projects, $130 million for water infrastructure, and $137 million for Higher Education.
Among the transportation funding is $8.75 million for the Mall of America Transit Station; a provision authored by Rep. Chad Anderson, R-Bloomington. The funds would be used to improve efficiency of bus operations, increase safety at the facility, and add rider capacity.
“The Mall of America Transit Station is the busiest hub in the state, and this funding will go to increase ridership, and provide greater safety for our area,” said Anderson.
