Dear Neighbors,
The 2018 Minnesota Legislative Session begins one week from today. The session’s to-do list is growing by the minute with big-ticket items including, a public infrastructure bill, increasing access to affordable health care, and addressing the recently-passed federal tax bill. I’m interested in listening and learning about the issues important to you and your family. Other area legislators and I invite you to attend a pair of Town Hall Meetings in Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center to ask questions and share your ideas.
The first is this coming Saturday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m.at the Brooklyn Park Community Center (5600 85th Ave N). I’ll be joined by Rep. Michael Nelson, Sen. Chris Eaton, Sen. John Hoffman, and Rep. Melissa Hortman, the House Minority Leader.
The next Town Hall is taking place the following Saturday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brooklyn Center Community Center (6301 Shingle Creek Pkwy). For this one, I’ll be joined by Rep. Nelson and Sen. Eaton.
The meetings are free and everyone is welcome to attend. Community input is critical toward shaping policies at the State Capitol. I hope to see you at one or both of these meetings.
