ST. PAUL – State Representative Jason Rarick (R-Pine City) announces that the Minnesota House State Government Finance Committee will hold a full hearing on veterans issues in Pine City on February 18.
The hearing will be held at the Pine City VFW, 305 8th Street SW, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Rarick is encouraging veterans from Pine and Kanabec counties to attend the meeting and learn more about how the Legislature is attempting to prioritize Minnesota's veterans.
"It is rare that a House committee holds a hearing outside of St. Paul, so we have the unique opportunity not only to watch government in action but to hear directly from those who craft veteran-related legislation in the State of Minnesota," Rarick said. "I'm hopeful many veterans from our area will be able to take some time and attend this hearing."
