ST. PAUL, MN—Representative Deb Kiel (R-Crookston) is inviting parents and child care providers to attend a Select Committee on Affordable Child Care hearing on February 15th in Crookston. This newly formed House committee is traveling throughout Greater Minnesota to hear directly from parents and child care providers about the challenges they face in accessing affordable child care.

"Bringing the Select Committee on Affordable Child Care to our community will give folks an opportunity to share their input and ideas on how to improve access to child care in Northwest Minnesota and across the state," said Rep. Kiel. "We have a number of wonderful child care providers in our community, but many families are still facing roadblocks to access that quality care. Our committee will be working on innovative solutions to address these challenges next session, and feedback from local parents and providers will be very helpful to us as we craft legislation."
