Here’s wishing you and your family a happy Thanksgiving.
We are busy at the Capitol in preparation for the 2015 session. I have been meeting with people in St. Paul this week to set things in motion for my return to the post as chair of the Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee. I will follow up with a closer look at some of my top objectives – like addressing high tuition costs – as we formalize plans.
It has only been about one week since the announcement came that I would be chairing Higher Ed., but people already have been providing me with ideas for where we can make improvements. That correspondence is highly appreciated and I encourage people to continue letting me know their thoughts on Higher Ed. and any other legislative issues that may be important to them.
I will keep you posted as things unfold leading up to our Jan. 6 start of the session. Until then, I hope you enjoy Thanksgiving and stay warm with friends and family.
