Environment Listening Session on February 3rd in Thief River Falls

Monday, January 25, 2016

Dear Neighbors,

On Wednesday February 3rd, I will be hosting an Environment Listening Session in Thief River Falls with Representative Denny McNamara, Chair of the House Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee.

The listening session will cover numerous constituent concerns related to land, water and wildlife laws and regulations, including those set by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Folks in Northwest Minnesota, including landowners, businesses and local units of government are greatly affected by state government, and I have heard from a number of constituents concerned about everything from buffers to wildlife management. I look forward to hosting this meeting, hearing first-hand about the concerns residents are facing so we can tackle these issues at the State Capitol.

I strongly encourage folks to attend this listening session to share their thoughts, opinions and questions about our state's environmental rules and regulations. Please contact my office if you have additional questions.
