ST. PAUL, Minn—On December 5, 2015, Representative Joyce Peppin (R-Rogers) was elected to the 2016 Board of Directors of the State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SLLF) for a three-year term. The 38-member bipartisan board is made up of state legislative leaders from across the country.
The SLLF is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose goal is to improve the quality of legislative leadership. SLLF seeks to educate top political leaders by giving them regular opportunities to take part in university-based educational programs that focus on many of the critical issues of our day, and its mission is approached with a dedication to being impartial arbiters on important public policy issues.
"The State Legislative Leaders Foundation is an important organization dedicated to helping elected leaders make sound and well-reasoned public policy decisions that benefit our state and nation," said Rep. Peppin. "I look forward to serving on the Board of Directors, helping to oversee the fiscal integrity of the organization and craft future SLLF initiatives that will guide elected leaders to introduce legislation that improves state economies, provides opportunities for constituents to engage in the legislative process and moves our nation forward."
