State Rep. Paul Rosenthal Appointed to Commission on Minnesota Sports Facilities

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

ST. PAUL, MN - State Representative Paul Rosenthal (DFL – Edina) has been appointed to the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Sports Facilities for the 2017 legislative session, following the appointment by House Minority Leader Melissa Hortman.

The Legislative Commission on Minnesota Sports Facilities’ mission is to oversee the operating and capital budgets of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority.  The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2012 and charged with the design, construction and operation of the U.S. Bank Stadium.

"The MSFA needs to be held accountable to Minnesota taxpayers with its policy and financial decisions, especially after the recent investigations on suite policies,” said Rep. Rosenthal. “I look forward to serving on the Commission to address and review specific measures to achieve the accountability that Minnesotans deserve.”

The commission consists of three senators appointed by the Senate Majority Leader, three senators appointed by the Senate Minority Leader, three state representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House, and three state representatives appointed by the House Minority Leader.

Rep. Rosenthal encourages constituents to contact him with any questions, comments, or ideas on any legislative topic. Rep. Rosenthal can be reached by phone at 651-296-7803 or by email at rep.paul.rosenthal@house.mn.
