Masin Sworn-In as State Rep. for District 51A

St. Paul, Minn. – As the 2017 Legislative Session began today, Rep. Sandra Masin (DFL – Eagan) took the oath of office to represent District 51A in the Minnesota House of Representatives. This will be Rep. Masin’s fifth term in the House.

“Today is always an exciting day for legislators. Being able to represent my community in St. Paul is a tremendous honor,” Rep. Masin said. “And it’s not an honor I take lightly. We have work to do for Minnesotans and I’m eager to roll my sleeves up and dive in.”

Rep. Masin represents portions of Burnsville and Eagan in the House. She served two terms on the Eagan City Council between 1993 and 2000, during which time she chaired the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and helped organize and chair the Suburban Transit Association.

“It has always been important to me to deliver on my promises. I promised I would work for better transportation, more jobs, and better schools while in the House,” Rep. Masin said. “In the next two years, I’ll focus my attention on health care, jobs, transportation, and education.”

Rep. Masin will serve on the following House committees: Government Operations and Election Policy, Transportation and Regional Governance Policy, and Transportation Finance.

Rep. Masin encourages her constituents to contact her regarding any issue. She can be reached at 651-296-3533 or by email at rep.sandra.masin@house.mn.
