Legislative Update- January 3, 2017

Tuesday, January 3, 2017

Dear Neighbor,

Today marked the first day of the 2017 Legislative Session in St. Paul. I was officially sworn in as the state representative for District 53A. It has been an honor to represent our community since I was first elected in 2012 and I look forward to continuing my service to you at the Capitol. I am excited to get to work on your priorities and will work hard on bipartisan legislation to address our state’s challenges.

Additionally, I wanted to extend an invitation to you for the League of Women Voters Legislative Brunch. It will be held on Saturday, January 7 at River Oaks Golf Course, 11099 U.S Hwy 61, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Social time is at 9:00 a.m., breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the issue session will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. You are welcome to attend only the issue session if that works better for you. The discussion will be lively and interesting. Reservations for the breakfast are due by end of day tomorrow. Registration is $16 to cover the breakfast and can be made by calling or texting Tam Mittelstadt at 651-238-7483. No reservation is needed to attend the issue session. I hope to see you there!

Please contact me directly via email or phone with any questions, comments, or concerns on any issue throughout the legislative session. I value your input.

Sincerely,

JoAnn Ward

State Representative
