Dear Neighbors,
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Happy Veterans Day. During this holiday, I hope you will join me in a moment of remembrance and thanks for the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms.
Many of us know someone serving our nation, and the selfless commitment they have made on behalf of their country. Those who join the armed services work for something greater than themselves, protecting not only Americans, but people around the globe.
And while this holiday provides a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to our veterans and thank them for their bravery, we must also not forget the sacrifices made by their family and loved ones.
So to all of the Minnesota veterans who are serving or have served our nation, thank you. I wish all of you a Happy Veterans Day.
